I have received purchased a Griffin itrip device in order to plan my ipod through the car stereo. However the scan function on the stereo keeps tuning into the nearest radio station after 10/15 seconds after I have found a spare FM frequency.

Does anyone know how to stop/overide the scan function so the itrip can do its job?

Thanks.

Well I'm not sure because I didn't really have my stock deck for long. But What I usually do on any car with FM modulation is find a channel it works on, then set that station on one of the presets. Just tune it in and then hold down say preset button one. Radios almost never search for another station if you go that route. Hope that helps man

Those griffin things suck ass.. Just like most wireless devices out there. I had it like 3 years ago and I threw it out like last week haah. Even if you do get a decent avaialble station, it still sounds raspy IMO.

Get a new radio with aux input and connect it to your iPod with a wire. That way youll ALWAYS have a perfect connection.

I thought they all came with AUX plug jacks after '06 or '07? Just pick up a simple AUX cable and plug it in that way.

You could also look for an Ipod integration cable. They can get spendy but most vehicle stock stereos have them for cars after like '02. This integrates the Ipod into the stock system so you can control it through the deck.
