I considered painting my header but never did since its stainless. I wouldn't wrap it though.

wrapping a header is a bit overkill on a street car.. plus SS header bling in the bay ftw

why not a wrap?

from what i've read, it can break down the metal faster. I know its used to keep the heat temp down, but i don't think mines is producing enough heat where its becoming a problem. My header also cools down real fast since its made of stainless, if i would of wrapped it i think it would taken longer for it to cool down.

^^ true but are there any side affects? I figured lower engine temps would just be better all the way around. Honestly tho i prolly won't have time or fundage to wrap it.

word. Its not cheap either.


well, im sure the engine bay temp would be lower, but i doubt it will cause it to over heat.

yea. same way i think. Race teams can afford to replace headers every time they race. To them i guess it doesn't matter.

my caliper paint had some part ceramic in it, it was paint kit i bought from Vatozone. Cost me 20.00, kit included a pint of paint, masking tape, and a brush.

there's also something call Jet coating. i think thats that black stuff.

high temp paint works but I don't know where to get it.

wrapping a SS header causes it to crack easier. I need to polish mine, it looks like s**t.

No don't think i ever took any, nothing too special just an 02 header which is tubular vs my OEM cast boat anchor POS.

funny you say, One time i attempted to drift in his car. It was a uber fail. i rolled one of the front tires off the rim, lol. we were stranded up north by Division and i90. I had no idea wtf i was doing. )

his car's about 90% done. He's waiting on a boost controller and a new turbo.
