im putting together a b16 turbo the motor will be semi built. i just am not sure on what size turbo i should get. im wanting to hit at least 375 to the wheels. what turbo size should i run and how much psi. here is what i have for the build so far.

head:
Stock
gsr cams
s2 pro cam gears
eagle intake manifold
bbk 70mm throttle body

Block:
esp eagle rods
cp 9.0:1 turbo pistons
micro polished crank
act pro light flywheel
stage 3 compition cluch
ACL Race bearings
Hastings piston rings
arp head studs
Blox Block guard

so im just curious what do you think the turbo size and psi would have to be to hit 375 whp.

id probly go with a 60 series t3t4 run right around 10-12 lbs or soand make sure your getting enough fuel. get a fuel pump and i think you might be able to get away with dsm 450's

your probably going to need a bigger injector than that.. get some 550's at least.. id go 750's imo

block guard isnt completely neccesary for your application..

you're going to need a thicker head gasket, I think B00sted has a HKS and hes happy with it..
catch can, tapped oil pan and many other little things

450cc injectors max at around 300whp...

i would go with atleast 750cc injectors...

ya im using a hks bead headgasket....paid 133 for it....but its worth it....

and yes walbro is a good company...go with a walbro 255lph fuel pump....

for the TURBO....go with a Holset HX35....you can buy one off ebay for around 300 bucks....there very good quality, fast spool, and max out at around 500 hp...though it would only take around 20psi to make 375whp....and these holset turbos can spool up to 30-35psi with no probs.... in my opinion their the perfect turbo for a pump gas setup and even a race gas setup......i plan on maxing out on pump gas with a holset hx35.....i hope to make around 350-400whp once im all done....

I'm sure everyone's heard of teamrice.org or at least seen this video. 450cc injectors in this setup putting out 487 horses at the wheels. The site's no longer up, but it was in the run-down on the car when it was still around. So, yeah. It will.
umm. no it wont. if 650cc are at 60% duty cycle at only 285 hp that would put the 450's up around 80% no way in hell are you getting another 180+ hp out of that. it is recommended you not run over 90% duty cycle and 450cc's making 480 wont cut it. plain and simple. i dont care what some youtube video says. people put up BS info all the time on those videos

EDIT: it doesnt even say 450cc in that vid dude. stop posting false info

Reading comprehension... where in my post did I say the information I was quoting came from the youtube video? The guy that built and owns the hatchback in the video listed his car using 450cc injectors ON THAT BUILD. Did some other dude put that in the youtube video information? I don't know. I didn't read it. I just know what the hatch looks like and remember seeing the same video on their website when it was still up and running. Who knows though. Maybe he was just lying about the whole thing and some shop built it for him, then team rice picked him up.

i dont care what he listed he upgraded them to make that much power. ask any of the boosted guys on here if 450's will make that much power. there simply isnt enough injector there to supply enough to make that much power. why is that so hard to understand?
