I checked the KYB's on Andy's auto sport, and they actually more expensive than the Tokico, but i am looking at the H R 's they seem pretty good. but they are also more expensive than Eibach
found this on craighslist

why not just use lower/sport springs and oem gsr shock. you'll save alot, improve handling, and lower your ride height.

your original plan is nice one, but almsot at 500 bucks for grand total. if you don't have all the cash consider what i told you. or play the wating game.

^^^You're spending $500 on a shock and spring combo? Why not save up another $100 or so and get some f2 coilovers?

I love mine so far and they held up nicely for autox.

Ok, I guess i'll look into that, but it is because my friend (the one witht the silver hatch) told me that lowering a car on OEM struts isnt a good idea...

4th in my class, 17th overall. I wish I could have run in the stock class, but because I have aftermarket springs, I was in the prepared class.

It was pretty fun, better than other times Ive gone.
But, there's still a party of me that pussies out because I dont want to break my car.
which is why after my wedding, I'm going to start looking for and old AWD car I can just rallyX with.

This one I came in a little too hot.....

There's a lot more, I'll post them when they're out.
Man i want to do that! It looks like crazy fun.

The shock/spring combo will be your best bet for a smoother ride but once the springs settle, that's the height your car will stay at.

AE Motoring is a sponsor on here that quoted me a reasonable price that's only about $150 more than what you're looking at spending.

But don't forget that you need to have an alignment done as well once everything is installed.

well, if you slam your car it CAN shorten the life of a oem shock. and i mean SLAM SLAM, specially on used shocks, yes it can shorten their life FAST.

lets say you use a New gsr struts and some sports/lowering springs, that shouldn't cause you any problems.
1. its alot better factory strut than the ones that come on dx or cx civics.
2. lowering springs don't slam your car.

so, not only will you lower your car, but also improve handling. IMO, this is set up if your on a budget.
i once drove on HnR sport springs and stock shocks. I loved the height and the way it handle. but then again, everyone's got their own definition of lowered.

if you need help just holler!

So what you got man?
traded, TRADED... the h for a k. opertunity knocked an I jumped all over it.

bout 3 weeks ago now, I stopped at the gas station. got out, went inside, got some smokes. as I walked outside this chick parks next to me. she has a red 94 coupe, which imo looks pretty good (both her and the car). fogs, lip kit, black 17's (yuck), lowered and looked pretty clean overall. well we got to talking bout both of our cars and she mentioned she "WAS" going to swap the motor, but she needed to get rid of this one she had in her garage. this point I got confused, which isn't that hard to do. well she ended up buying a k20a complete change over from hmo, completely without knowing how to swap a k into our year of civics. she thought it would be just like every other honda motor, like the b, d, f or h's. so thus this motor she had to sell first. I mentioned that I had an h22 that I have in my garage, and told her everything is there for a complete changeover and its easier than doin a k. she followed me to my garage, looked at the motor and asked what will she get. I told her everything that's there. the motor, ls tranny, h2b kit and the ecu. she agreed to trading, only if I would help out the h into her car... SWEET.... so she's happy, im giddy as f**k...and everyone wins.

outside of my car still looks like ass though, going to body an paint in bout a month...hopefully

be patient, pics are coming
