I'm doing a power folding ctr style mirror installation. The jdm sockets have 5 wires vs the usdm 3. Which type of wire would be better for joining current? 18 gauge stranded or 22 gauge solid? The jdm wires are 22g stranded but I couldn't find any. Thanks

You should only worry if you had to go a lower gauge so you'll be fine.
