one idea i have had for awhile was to boost my car. now i dont realy wanna do a motor swap i would rather just see how much i can do with the SOHC. all i have on it now is intake and exhaust. but all of that would change anyway. what would i have to do so i kno my motor wont blow? or so i can just boost it right? alot of people say i can boost it now but only with like 6 lbs which realy wouldnt be worth it right?

you would have to have a good tune so it doesn't blow, and you can boost it right. with the proper tune you could run about 8-10 psi max on a stock sohc, which imo is worth it. you could get a good 220 hp out of that.

theres tons of threads all over the internet that already touch on your question. please research

i would boost 12lbs on a stock motor.... since thats the most the stock map sensor can boost anyways....

also depends on the turbo....as a T4 @ 12lbs will flow a lot more hp than a T25 @ 12lbs..

but since you have a stock motor shoot for around 200-240hp....

GET A GOOD TUNE!! and piece together your own kit!!!
Sometimes its better to buy a kit that will fit and wont leave you with headaches in the middle of the build.. I pieced my own kit and now switching manifolds and downpipes cuz i wanted to save $, now its costing me more to purchase the right parts the 2nd time around..

Spoolinperformance.com or Go-autoworks.com FTMFW for quality, fitment, and price. All you will need is a ECU,Tune and Injectors.

SOHC's can rock just as good as a B-series. Go For it and you wont look back once you do.. Just make sure the tuner knows his s**t.

The safety and longevity of your motor is going to rely mostly on the tune and your tuners capabilities. You should do alot of research first. It's pretty simple to sit and lay out a list of all the parts you need, but that won't put together a solid car, you'll have to back it up with some know how.

that little psi # alone means nothing.

That's not really true.
