Any of you ever heard of "Proscan" TVs?

WTF?

Proscan's "used" to be high end RCA TV's they discontinued em like 10 yrs ago. Prolly someone else bought the name and is trying to revamp em.

Yo, Costco sells that weak sh*t, I'd toss it out before Id hit it, Rey save yo cash and buy an Insignia, bet a ni**a $20 bucks it aint gone fail ya. Flat screens and CLs, yeh we all know u ballin, now stfu and lemme do the shot callin...great lakes wuuuuut

my friend derek has a 42" 1080p dynex (the best buy brand) that he got for under a grand. it looks decent, but the processor tends to lock up when channel surfing.

you should get a samsung.

^ I agree on Samsung. Imo Insignias are awesome, 3 of my friends got their 720p plasma (which was last years LG plasma) and no problems whatsoever. All of the Insignias are previous name brand tvs...

Pros: I Have Found Zero Pros

Cons: Picture/remote/controls/constr uction/support
Summary: Call it a INSIGNIA (a Best Buy brand) but what we found after much research was that it appears to be a Sylvania.

This is a budget set but no matter what one believes one will save, this set offers near zero quality, construction, ease of use and customer support.

Probably the worst-ever picture when print or characters are displayed possible. A remote that has no codes known (even customer service at Insignia didn't know) in case you want to use a Universal Remote.

Keep your older analog TV for a superior picture or remember a Sony is a Sony is a Sony and picture quality is acheived best with products from Sony, Panasonic, Hitachi, etc.

working again this week at the drag strip but it's chopperfest

^maybe sylvannia but I know the model I sold was an LG, all the tv menus were the same as on the LGs...dont know much about their LCDs but yeh maybe all my friends got lucky *shrug* All I know is that most plasmas run the risk of burn in, thats why calibration kicks ass. Insignia plasma calibrated looks very close to a Pioneer plasma.
