Trying to find a downpipe

I have a 1997 EX with the D16Y8. I'm going to end up with one of two builds:

D16Y8 boosted or LS B18 swap supercharged.

I'm trying to locate a downpipe for the T25, 16g, 20g mitsu line of turbos. I had to have one custom made for the '02 EX but I don't plan on paying $750 for just a downpipe again! If no one makes it, I may end up with LS just based on that. If anyone knows where to locate this down pipe or at leas the outlet that I could use to turn into a down pipe, it would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Build it. All it takes is a flange and tubing.

$750 is a retarded price! i cant believe you paid that. my AFI manifold was a little more than that, but that's a manifold, not a DP. Go to a metal shop, they'll fab one for 100 bucks

Yeah, I don't weld. The guys at the shop made the piping work with a fast cat, kept the O2 sensors and tuned the car on the dyno with the new down pipe. That was $750. So, yeah, it's not THAT ridiculous. I just don't want to have to include all that...

Oh, and a metal/machine shops don't do the best bends or O2 fittings. I've tried that route in the past. Plus I would rather run Stainless Steel than that $2.50/ft generic aluminum.

See! its just a tube! cut and fab it and bring it to someone to weld. not too difficult.

ok....
I just liked the one piece design from the shop. Still Stainless, but no multiple welds with mandrel bends. That's all... I just didn't know if there was a prefabbed out there. Thanks again for the info.

I called around to some local exhaust shops, NO ONE will touch a custom downpipe even if I bring in the piping. I called the local speed shop and they want $550 for the down pipe and 2 dyno pulls for tuning (keeping the upstream O2 sensor anyways)

Omaha, NE sucks for a lot of this!!!!!!!!!

HOLY s**t! Call spoolinperformance or GoAutoworks and they can fab you one. Usually a local welding shop should weld it. u can get flanges from pretty much anywhere online. All you need is a mitre saw and a sharpie and bring it to any welding shop.

Your local muffler shop wont touch it cuz they want to hose you with their profit margin. Used to be thing called service in this country. Greg at go-autoworks has some DP's, just tell him what flange, manifold ur using and where the exhaust exit is going and ur done.

EDIT: Last resort is to buy your pipe, cut it the way you want it. mark it with a sharpie, look up your local high school that has a welding class and talk to the teacher to see if he can weld it. throw him 50 bucks. *last resort*
