20th Anniversary Mazda Miata, i'd take this over an S2k in a heartbeat:

RECARO bucket sport seats (Black Alcantara® and red leather)
Exclusive ‘20th Anniversary’ badges (on each side fender)
Clear front fog lights and bezels*2
205/45R17 84W tires and 17-inch aluminum wheels
Front strut tower bar (cowl connecting type)
Fabric soft top with glass rear window (soft-top model only)
Heated seats with five temperature settings
Soft padding (synthetic leather door armrests and center console lid)

so SICK!

If you'd take that over an S2k you're retarded. Most of that stuff listed is already stock on an S2k, not to mention the 80hp deficit the MX5 has. Miatas are great because they're cheap fun, this model is no longer cheap.

then I'm retarded :D

70hp difference isn't that much noticable since the weight, gearing and power band are not the same. I've seen stock NC miata's out run stock S2000's all day long by a good second or 2 on a coarse, highway pulls well what's the fun on that?

This is a collectors item and limited edition 20th anniv. model, to me that bumps it up.

Don't get me wrong I love S2000's and I never thought i'd want a miata more than one....

I'm sure i'm a lil biased comming from the 10th anniversary model as well.
s**t my car was over 30k new..... And the fact that S2000's are dead, well there ya go.

----------------2009 Miata----------------2009 S2000

Their not THAT far apart.......

You can't compare track times unless it's the same driver. I can eat EVO's all day on the course (and regularly do), that just means the other driver is lousy. The MX5 is cool but it's not worth that much dough.

I hear ya and a valid point but i'm talkin top cars at the autox.......... 3rd gen stock miata vs top stock S2000 from what I've seen.

Saw one of those at the airport a couple months back, ice blue or something like that. AWESOME color.

The M1 was co-developed with Lamborghini as BMW's only mid-engine car. They only had to make enough to meet homologation requirements for the racing series. Lambo was in dire straights for money so BMW took over the entire project in the late 70's and got s**t done.

Engine made something like 270hp in the street car but the racer got a mad turbo and put out something like 800hp (straight 6 cylinder too).
