My car is a 99 ej8. My car's starter wont turn over. When I turn the ignition, there is a pause before any cluster lights come on. Once my lights come the ECU is making a continuous clicking sound. My keyless entry does not work either. What can i do to have my car running again???:shocked2:

That truck is a pic i took for sh!ts and giggles. Anti-rice.com check it out.

Update on my "ej8": My car wont start with a jump. A continuous clicking sound is still coming from behind the engine block when my key is turned to the on position, "not the turn to start/clutch pushed position". Plan A: charge up the battery with a jump cable for 10 min. Plan B. Let my battery sit unconnected for 30 min after it is jump charged for 15 min. Any suggestions????

CC, just in case this happens to u. The jump charge and let sit method worked. I can now start my car and everything is fine(hopefully). I think there was a voltage malfunction somewhere.

the voltage malfunction is your battery. its not holding a charge.

My car cannot start again. Jump starting does not work! I took it to a Honda dealership(ASE certified techs...FTW), Here's the problem: the positive battery cable is heavily corroded. Another problem is the battery is putting out good voltage but does not hold amperage. I need a new battery cable and battery.

dont be so quick to change that cable. you might be able to get rid of the corrosion by using a little baking soda mixed with water and scrubbing it with a toothbrush.

X2. Capitol Honda of San Jose wants $55 + tax. I'm always thinking of a cheap alternative(<- I would say "always" is an understatement). My plan A is to cut the battery cable end off and reconnect to the battery terminal. Plan B take my car to a car audio place and buy some cable and do the labor my self. Plan B is kinda lame IMO, anyone got any  ideas:?:
