Guys this has been a very long build. My dad started it back in 1991 when he purchased it new. We have decided it was time to finish this thing. Here is the time line with photos. (SORRY FOR LENGTH)

Early 90's:
1991 Jeep YJ
4.0L I-6
5-speed transmission
Dana 30 Front axle
Dana 35 Front axle
stock tires then switched to 32inch BFG Mud Terrain
Warn 9500 Winch

Late 90's:
GM 305 V8 Crate Engine
GM Turbo 400 Transmission
1 Inch body lift
2 inch Suspension
Chevy 9 bolt front and rear axles
Another set of 32 inch BFG Mud Terrain

In the late 90's up to now the Jeep sat due to an unfinished build after a 4-wheeling Excursion to Telico, TN.

Today: The finish build started by us purchasing a 1980's 1-Ton Chevy 4x4
350 Crate motor
Rebuilt Turbo 400 Tranny
Chevy 1-Ton front and rear axles
Chevy 1-Ton brakes
Stretched frame 4 inches front and rear
Custom Front bumper (3/8th steel)
6 inch Skyjacker Suspension Lift
38 inch Super Swamper TSL

Steve is around 6'3" tall. SO that gives you an idea of the actual height.

Future Mods as of the moment:
Winch
Finish bumpers
Refinish Interior
New Guages

Yeah I figured that out after I posted it. For some damn reason I thought I was in the build thread. Once again I have proved on this site that READING OWNS ME....

I got some history about the 350 that is going in the jeep now. It was built for a Suburban that is rolling on tractor tires. Before that it had 42 inch Mudders and the owner of the truck stated that the motor could burn all four tires...........If that is the case then we might be able to do a f**king wheelie.

Now I just need to start working on this effing civic.

That height seems unnecessary unless you have the travel to use it.

I like V8 YJ's though

Oh believe me it has the travel. If i remember correctly it got up to 40inch flex before a tire came off the ground. It is built for go not show.

Thats why you do this.

My old 1990 Jeep Cherokee. I bought it stock for 500. Put a 3 inch Rough Country Suspension Lift Kit on it. 31 inch BFG All Terrians. Ended up putting a soild steel bumper on it after a tree at my stock one.

After hitting a few things my paint looked like s**t so I rattle canned the entire Cherokee with spray in bed liner.

Just a little update. We finished the motor. We were correct in our thoughts. It can burn all four tires with only 10psi in the tires. Will try to get a vid posted.
