at least the way we do it there really is no one in danger besides the two drivers there isnt rows of people lined up on each side or anything like everyone is behind the cars and if there is headlights you stop no matter what
Oh yes. Of course. Desolate back roads. How could I forget about those?? f**k you. I almost lost my best friend in high school because of that s**t. We thought it would be cool to take his new EVO VIII out and have a huge road course street race on some business development back roads that don't get used except from 6am to 8pm. We made a quick pass through to get the feel of the track and then started the race. We got about 1/4 way through the race when we came through a corner that was banked out instead of in going about 100mph, started sliding out one way, over corrected, spun the other way, and hit the curb going over 90mph. We took out three trees, a light pole, flipped three times in the air, and landed on the roof in a parking lot. Luckily the emergency crews got there pretty fast, since I had to climb out the shattered driver window and pull my half crunched in friend out of his seat, and try to keep him conscious so they could take care of him. Eh. But whats a severe concussion (for him), a torn ACL (for me), a $26,000 fine for state property damages (yah, trees and light poles are owned by the state), and losing his license til he was 21 got do with street racing? You're totally right. Go find those back roads. Nobody ever gets hurt out there.
Find me stats that track fatalities including two <18 year olds racing each other are higher than said racers on the street. If you can prove it, I will drive down to tri-cities and apologize face to face.

I didn't deny the fact that the people driving are in harms way. I also didn't say anything about anyone in that post besides the driver and the passenger. I believe it is you, not me who needs to pay more attention.

I disagree with the fatality comment. I would also like to see proof that it is more dangerous to race at a track, where there is emergency techs on site, and most of the drivers are professional or in the care of professionals. As opposed to some back road where no one is in site and the drivers are kids with less than a couple years experience on an adrenaline rush trying to impress girls/friends/etc.
My guess is that you pulled the statement out of thin air and have no way to prove it because it is false.
Also saying that the only ones affected are the drivers is a statement only an ignorant kid would make. Yes there is a chance that only the drivers of the cars would get killed, but are you seriously going to sit here and say that only 2 of you go out and race? My guess is that you load your cars up and are racing with passengers. That and if you kill yourselves it is your family that has to suffer and pay the damages to the other families or property that you destroy.
Leave it at the track. There is a reason why street racing is illegal. It isn't just because the "cops are out to get you".

Solution: Sell your car or deal with it. Young kids driving Honda Civics have always been a poor crowd for law enforcement. You're encouraging them with your "back country road" street racing. Roads are designed for transportation, not competition.

i dont think its fair i work and spend all my money on my car cuz its my hobby rather buying drugs and s**t im doing somethin constructive but get hassled for it
the only people that are at risk are the ones racing you dont just organize i legit street race down the street from your grandmas house dumb ass you go to country roads set the scanner and race till you here cops talking about a reported racing on the area. this isnt fast and the furios where they go thru every street in LA thiers no such thing thats like wanting to go to jail street racing happens where thiers citys where no tracks and if they have tracks they dont open them often so you find an old street or road try to mark the 1/4 and race race and race some more f**k RICHLAND PD they never busted a race in thier lifes bsides the one last august
