Door Help?

My driver's side window fell off the track, so I followed directions to open the door panel and fix the problem. The problem is fixed, but I can't get the door back on!

I get it to where I think the panel needs to be, but the fasteners will not fasten. There are three on the bottom and one on each side... I just can't get them to click into place. Is there a trick to getting the stupid things to line up right? I tried massaging... pounding... yelling... punching. Nothing seems to work.

Thanks for any hellp1

make sure the rubber seal on the top part of the door panel is seated on the top of the actual door. it has a metal piece underneath the rubber and needs to be like wedged in up where the window comes up

Sometimes it takes a little umph to get the door cards back in on the top. Don't be afraid to give it a little love tap. Just a little.

i remember when mine fell of the track and i had to put the door back in.
the problem i had was the clips were bent incorretly, so i had to fix that.
requires some muscle to put it back on.

Same problem - had to replace the inner molding for the window, and now can't get the darn things back on!!!

I can get it snapped into the frame, but its there is a huge gap where before there wasn't one in the back of the door up top.

I'll try hooking the molding itself to the top of the door tomorrow thought, thanks for the tip. If not, I'm tempted to cut the speaker brackets out of the panel and just say to hell with it. Other than noise, any drawbacks to doing that?

drawbacks? well cutting a door panel sounds like it has a few coming. dont do that please. remove the mirror cover and you should get it back on. and start at the top of the panel by the window and work down

You have to put the top in a certain way and then slide it over a little. Also on the side of the panel where the clip slides into place, just take the clip off of the door carefully, slide it into the panel before putting the panel back on, and then you can just insert the panel into the holes instead of having to slide. There is a way to slide it, but this way is quicker. make sure no speaker cables or anything else is at the bottom of the door. Make sure the connector for the locks, and windows is not stuck inbetween the panel and the door. Once the panel is on, bang on it a little on each side, and the bottom.

OH AND BEFORE ALL OF THIS, PLUG UP YOUR LOCKS/WINDOWS THING AND TEST THE WINDOW BEFORE PUTTING IT ALL BACK TOGETHER. I learned all of this from changing my own regulators/motors.
