Soo I need a new game. I'm thinking of GT5:prologue or Assassins Creed.

Out of those 2 choices, I vote for Assassin's Creed.

Wasn't impressed with GT5P. Hopefully they will add stuff and take the bugs out with the real version.

It is an Internal notebook hard drive (2.5). Although you can hook up a bigger 3.5 drive and have it external (it won't fit inside the ps3). You have to put a case around it and hook up the SATA wire to the ps3. There are videos going around on youtube showing how to do it.

I opted for the internal notebook drive because I wanted it clean and inside.

I haven't gotten to the drive part yet. I am finally backing up the 60GB drive onto one of my external portable drives. It is taking forever (an hour and a half so far).

From what I read the exact drive that I purchased is one of the go to drives for doing this. The only bad reviews that I read were drives that were ordered off the net that showed up DOA.

Here are some tips on how to upgrade the internal harddrive (20GB or 60GB PS3s).

PS3 Factory Harddrive Specs:
-Sata 150
-5400RPM
-20GB or 60GB capacity

maximum size internal hdd that PS3 can use: 250GB
maximum size of external hdd connected to PS3 via USB: 500GB, also must use FAT32 filesystem (PS3 will not recognize NTFS)

Agreed completely.

GT5P was a waste at original sales price. Paid like $49 for the game and it's not even the full game. Graphics are amazing as ever though.
Assassin's was a good game, run everywhere, do anything, and everyone reacts to whatever you do. However, it does get repetitive. And I mean repetitive, you kill many big name guys the same way... But the story and idea are enjoyable.

Woah! Glad I didn't see that before hand. I would have probably talked myself out of it. I have been running the 500GB for 2 days now and there hasn't been any problems. It took all of my backed up data and everything else is a go so far. I haven't downloaded off of PSN yet, but I am confident that it will all go with out a hitch.

I am really curious as to why they say that 250GB is the highest you can go? I wonder if they didn't have 500GB internal 2.5 drives then? That article was written in 2007.

welp, it was the first console ever.... and 37 years later, their predecessors like the ps3 and 360 still havent worked all of the kinks out...

I still think it's pretty cool
