Parking lights dont turn on but only when signaling

ok heres the problem, i've had my car for about 6 years and its a 93 civic hatchback si and my parking lights has always been off even when my lights are on, the only time they turn on is either when im signaling or using the hazards so far i cant really figure out why, im guessing its the wires but im not 100% sure. my fog lights turn on when my lights are set to parking lights. and yeah im kinda tired of just seeing the fog lights and the head light but no parking lights.

would love the help if possible

hmm where would that fuse be? i downloaded the civic service manual i couldnt really find it as there was 1200 pages

ok well i checked under the dash, cant find where it says parking light, i see the low beams high beams etc but no parking lights unless its worded differently

here is a link to a diagram of the fuse box under the dash, all fuses labeled and it should help you find the fuses easier

if you still have trouble check the fuses out under the hood also.


and one last question .. when you say the parking lights dont work do you mean ALL of them front and rear or only some of them .. and if so have you ever checked the bulbs to make sure they are good ?

by parking likes i mean my corner lights, it'll only turn on when signaling other than that its off, but yeah i checked the fuse its all good, but the corner lights still does not turn on, could it be a wiring? that may be causing this? just to signal only but not turn on?

check your wiring , i know theres three wires on the connector to the corner light bulb just dont remember what color the wires are and which does what. Anyway check if one of them wires are cut because thats how my 92 civic si is my corners do not work unless i use my directionals or hazards

This sounds like a classic ground wire problem. Check the ground wire connection for the parking lights. Also make sure the proper bulbs are installed.

when my cousins radio got stolen here front and rear parking lights dont work. i think it might be a ground also.

its just the front, but i havent done anything yet i will try and check it right now, but yeah same thing as cvnig89 it only does what he said so yeah i guess i'll check the wiring and ground

Clean and tighten both the G201 and G301 ground connections.

my grounds are fine , the guy i bought the car from messed with the wires , corner wires little hacked up. I was jus putting it out there to check it out

OP: If someone has tampered with your wiring, then focus on fixing those problems. Otherwise, the ground wire connections are the place to start.

do u mean the g202? instead of g201? couldnt find g201 but did see g202 but yea i'll check them right now and clean it

No, G201 is the ground relevant to your problem.

Did you find it? If not, maybe it's diconnected, which could cause the problem you are having.
