I've been pulled over for that same thing before in Illinois and was told it was illegal to have a modified exhaust, period. I only got a warning but I looked into and the cop was full of s**t, 99% of the time, unless you're in Cali, the law is vague and you can beat the ticket.

First thing I did when I got home was checked the law.... Aftermarket exhausts that make the car any louder than stock at all.... .000000001 dB louder is illegal. Such BS. lol. Oh well, It took them about 6 years to pull me over once.. so If I can go another 6 years I'll be doing pretty well.

Even with that you could probably fight it, an S2K stock is louder than my Civic stock. Why is an S2K allowed to be louder than me? There's no logic behind it.

Man, that sucks. My licence doesn't expire until 2052, no joke. I got my licence when i was 16 and it doesn't expire till i'm 65! I love AZ.

Got pulled over about an hour ago after a very nice dinner with my girlfriend. Apparently Florida law states that you can not have an exhaust system that's louder than stock. Well damn. Cop gave me a break and only issued me a warning... BUT apparently my license expired 2 months ago - $100.. This I did not know.

Damn. Cop must've been a little bored to single me out on that exhaust thing (Orlando is full of cars with modified exhausts.) Not saying I don't deserve it and I wasn't breaking the law or anything but damn. Just expressing my frustration. lol. My girlfriend had to drive me home.

Long story short - I completely failed at life tonight and am 100 bucks in the hole because of it.
