My Long Night

Well everyone else has been posting the terrible stories that have been happening so here goes my excitement for tonight. Started out great. Drove 20 miles to a good mall. Read a manual on Honda engine swaps at Barnes & Noble while the girlie went shopping. Had a good dinner at Olive Garden. Drove 20 miles home. I was literally 1000 feet from home when we passed a little gray Poodle walking on the side of a dark busy road. Girlie started crying so I turned around. In the 30 seconds it took to go back the little guy had attempted to cross the road. He wasnt run over but I think he caught a bumber to the face. He was laying on his side breathing heavy in the middle of the lane, cars whizzing by. Girlfriend is hysterical so what choice do I have??? I run into 50 mph traffic and scoop up this poor little pup and get the heck out of the way. His face was all bloodied up and he was in shock. Jumped in the trusty civic with my new bloody friend. It was also raining out so he didnt smell the best. Made gf drive the car off into the neighborhood while I held the guy who was coming to and started fighting me. Pulled in and I called the police to get the Humane Society number. Got ahold of them and waited 40 minutes for the girl to show up. meantime I had got him out of my car, cleaned up a lot of blood off his face and laid him in the grass. he didnt seem able to move so I went to pick him up again. I guess at that point he fully came to and got scared shitless. He barked at me and bit me right on the hand. Then he got up and jumped up into my car and got comfortable until the Humane Society officer arrived. A HONDA LOVING DOG!!!!! she came and took him away and reported to the health department that I have to get a rabies shot tomorrow. :(:(:(:(

So thats my story...sorry its so long

Here they keep them for two weeks before the euthanize them. I might just call them after a week and a half and if hes still there....he kinda won me over when he bit me

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter. I wanted to adopt all those dogs there. Im glad when someone chooses to adopt a shelter dog rather than buying from a breeder. Good man

Im thankful he didnt pee in my car. He decided to get the blood of his face by burying it in my passenger seat so I gotta clean that up tomorrow. He had a rabies tag on his collar. the HS woman (who was really hot) said they could trace that number hopefully

lol, well I'm glad he was hit by you rather than somebody else. You're obviously a caring enough person to take care of the situation. Big thumbs up to you. :D

Yea, my girlfriend did do something very similar. lol. We had a cat come to our back door with a mangled paw... exposed muscle tissue and badly infected. We ended up having to amputate it and then we took him in as our own and healed him.... Over the course of a year of intense and stressful care (doctors think he has some sort of immune disorder and thought we should have put him to sleep. They're happy we didn't now though that we stuck it out and he's better.)

All worth it though. Now we have a cat with a hell of a personality who is a lot of fun to have around.

I've only been a moderator on this site for 4 or 5 years. Why should you expect me to know how to read and post properly? ;)

lol, I didn't get much sleep last night. And I can't sleep now.. so I'm really out of it.

I had Olive Garden once, and it was the last time. I had the Spaghetti and meatballs and sallad with the breadsticks. I woke up the next morning feeling like complete s**t, ass turned into a water fountain, was throwing up. Never again will I eat at Olive Garden again.

I enjoy olive garden from time to time... but I don't really blame you. Aside from pizza hut, it's the furthest thing from real italian food you can find.
