to cool it down/make it cold....so the turbo's compressed air isnt so hot going into the intake...

ive seen ppl spray nitrous on the fmic to make it cold....

drive an STi.... they come stock with an intercooler sprayer.... there isa water tank in the trunk and a sprayer nozzle in the hood scoop.... and a switch on the dash... you hit it to spray the intercooler... gives your s**t an extra kick... jdm models have an auto sprayer which can be setup to a timer...
