Performance chip in 2000 civic

I got 2000 honda civic Ex D16y8, and was thinking about a performance chip good idea? or not. Don't know much about it, Thanks!

i have the same car ppl will tell you to convert to OBD1 and get a chipped ecu eg P28

If you're thinking a performance chip like in gran turismo that will give you 45 horsepower, it does not work with our hondas. Sorry

You will need performance mods to even necessitate having a chip. If you just have header/intake/exhaust than you wont need a chip. If you have a D, boost or N2O is your only option for any type of quickness..

But, when you have that quickness, you will need to upgrade your suspension/brake components to handle your newly found speed.

+1 you will need to convert to OBD-1 to be able to use a chip..

so do u really get more power converiting form obd2 to 1 ?????..on d series engine..????with a chiped ecu????
