anti theft code?

hey guys. I bought a radio from someone on the internet and they didnt give me the code I need to unlock it. I was wondering would someone on here be able to get it for me?
model# 39100-s01-a300
ref# cq-jh5815zc
serial# m98n212013
any help would be great. I called honda and they need a lot of information and the radio is not for me, I got it for a buddy of mine.

Im actually not real sure, your best bet would be to have your buddy who the stereo is for call up Honda. I know they want a lot of dif. info. but thats preob the easiest in my book. I may be wrong, but thats what id do. Sorry i couldn't be of anymore help.

just a FYI, Honda keeps those codes under lock and key, and for the reason of that they dont want people to be able to steal radio's easyly, the reasons for all the questions they ask you, is so if that particular serial number get pulled as a stolen radio, they can find the person who stole it hopefully,

so the reason you didnt get an unlock code for the radio may very well be because it was stolen.

First you say you got it off a guy on the internet, then you say you got it from a buddy. Smell fishy? who ever owns the car that the stereo originally came out of needs to take in registration and they can get it like that. As stated above by DJMonkey, those are the reasons why you need it. The person you got it from owns you a code or a trip to the dealership, or put back that stereo back where you got it.
