okay so ive had my civic for close to a year now and ive finally de-riced the car completely. lol the only problem though was that i had to get new bumpers fenders, etc to get it lookin stock again. so im thinkin bout getting my car repainted but im wondering what color to do. i really like the silver but sometimes it seems to plain. what yall think? btw no crazy bright colors. lol

Stick to OE color FTW unless you gut the whole thing and paint everything! then paint it what ever fruit loop color u want.

nice. im stayin away from white though. bad experience trying to clean my brothers car which is white. it took 4 hrs to make the paint shine like new and get a new coat of wax on it.
so what about the Titanium Metallic YR-525M from the 2000 4dr? i havent found any good pics of the paint but it looks decent. so should i stick with VSM or go for Titanium Metallic?

Yeah to be honest I never liked VSM. I like electron blue, snow white, and midori green if you can make it work. It's your car afterall just paint it whatever color you want, I'd stick with OEM colors though.

what about satin silver metallic from the 01-03 model civic? would that be too drastic?

the electron blue looks great new, there are so many silver/grey/gunmetal colors from all the manufacturers i would look around. if you could afford it bmw and porsche have some really beautiful colors particularly silver/greys and i don't think they would be a ton more than a full honda paint job (then again they probably are).

it wasn't technically a bmw paint but their paints are made in germany and are an ass load of money, i don't even know the cost of a gallon. I had a friend who owned a shop with a paint booth (it always helps to know people) They had a paint book of about every major manufacturer and every color and what cars that color was offered on from 2005 and 2008 model years. It was like a 4" thick book of paint chips. I think they were from a giant company called A&P that basically owns a bunch of other companies like Sherwin Williams. Basically i think that it was a Sher. will. paint match. It is very close but not exact, and i think it actually looks better sometimes more dynamic in different light than the bmw. It was about $700 a gallon and they didn't use all of it to paint the car but you still have to buy the whole gallon. (plus pay the guy to paint it)
