whats up civic people?
I have a 2000 civic sedan(the most basic model im sure) and im looking to give it a new sound system.
What i plan to do is put a one 10 inch JL 450watt sub in the back. Powered by an amp with i 350 watts.
then i have been told not to bother putting in a sub unless get rid of factory head unit. Therefore i plan on buying an Alpine head unit, (i seen it on testfreaks.com for 11 bucks) it states it has all the bass control that i want. Also im going to purchase 2 speakers in the back and eventually 2 speakers in the front, not sure which make yet.

Any suggestions as to speakers or head unit?I'm most likely just getting two back speakers for now is this a decent idea? .im pretty much all set with my sub and sub amp unless you guys know something i dont.

Thanks i just need a few ideas to guide me the right direction. :???:

i would do the door speakers first. the rest sounds good. just make sure you run good 8 gauge wire for the amp. you can get good bass out of a stock head unit. all you need is the interface that splices into the factory speaker wires in the back. or high level inputs.

umm well with 50 watts itll be loud enough. at least louder and cleaner than stock. thats pretty cheap for a headunit though but it def worth a shot since thats like the cost of two meals. id say just concentrate on some decent speakers. i got some audiobahn 6x9's off onlinecarstereo and they have i think 30 oz magnents and even though theyre hooked up to just the headunit at the moment they are really really good. check craigslist for some used speakers cause you can get some lightly used stuff for really cheap off there. for front speakers idk what brand is really good off onlinecarstereo cause i ended up buyin 5 1/2's cause their 6 1/2's were really expensive and ended up sellin those to a friend. remember to get the harness for the headunit and the speakers. dont know where to get the speaker harnesses though. somebody help me out on that part
