ok a civic isnt a race car, and a v6 dakota 4x4 is? ive never seen so many people who are all supposed to be on here to help other civic owners rag on them, you think b.c you swap a ls in your civic it makes it a race car? drop a v8 in your civic or accept that almost no civic is a race car without a ton of money, the civic would beat the dakota period.

LOL at a d16 with I/H/E having 120 at the crank. my buddy had a 2000 dakota with a v6 way back when i had my d16y8 with only an intake and muffler and i put 3/4 of a car on him from a dig with a passenger in my car :what:

My friend has a v8 4.7L dakota (M/T), and he EASILY romped a new accord (4 banger though)

Him and I supercharged it... and went against a friends 05 Legacy GT (factory turbo).. and still lost.. but BARELY.. a car length at most
... and then he blew his truck up...

The Legacy now has Stage 2 AccessPort.. f**king thing easily romps STi's around here..

It's not the horsepower, it's the torque. Honda's (especially D-series) has about as much torque as my lawnmower.

the point is that its a retarded race. Why would you race a car with a motor that puts out 120 crank hp. Why dont you go to the track and get a TIME and compare it with everyone elses and see what you've got. On the track you see alot more skill. Legit dragging isn't easy, with my jdm b18c swapped ej6 that I converted from an auto to a 5 spd ran 9.09 with a .047 reaction time. I dont mind helping people at all, I just hate seeing people do retarded things becuase it makes people who put REAL money into civics look stupid.

i used to have a '97 5.9l v8 dodge ram, raced my brother in his 2000 1.8l protege and beat him by almost nothing.
i think if my truck could do it, a newer one could, but its worth a try as long as your smart about it cause you never know.
and to all those dicks talking s**t---> who cares if he wants to race his buddies truck?

I am not trying to make people look stupid at all on here man, I love my car as much as you love yours but just because I can't afford a JDM B18C doesn't mean that seeing my car against a truck is retarded. I would love to get a B18C1 to swap for my car right now, I just don't happen to have $2000 laying around for it. And if you ran 9.09 on a drag then your motor is far from stock even for a JDM B18C.

Unless you are talking about an 1/8th mile that never happened, not even close. And if you are talking about an 1/8th mile, that is really slow.

- Yes it was an 1/8th mile. All we have in Maine is an 1/8th mile drag. 9.09 is slow for a N/A no turbo/nitrous stock JDM B18C Swapped Ej6? Considering there was a eg with a gsr swap that couldn't get past 9.5's, and the fact that I lost to a AWD R32 VR6 golf by 6 hundreths of a second, yes thats very slow. My point is get a time to prove what you run, to avoid racing on the street.

That civic would beat me. I got a '02 Ram 1500 quad cab. 360cu V8. Trucks arent built for speed. They are built for torque and towing. I would sure hope you beat him.
