im sorry... but no electrical tape ive ever seen lasts on the outside of car more than a week

ive had electrical tape covering the holes on my hatch window for more than a year, starting to peel a bit now.

back in the day, my dad fixed his Crown Victoria's trunk with ducttape. HE use to drop me off in that to school too the trunk wouldn't close so he just taped it shut.
