i have four memphis pr15-10d4's ina ford ranger rightnow, but im taking them out to put in my gf's car. i told her she'd still have some trunk left, so i need some help on how im going to be able to pull this off. anyone have any ideas? and pics of someone else on here with four tens in a civic? i know theres other people that had to have done this already. thanks in advance
Show cars have done this, to be a daily driver id only recommend 2 10's.. the box for 4 tens is going to be atleast 4 sq. feet and that will take up 90% of trunk space..
im not too sure on the wattage (rms) of those subs but im sure they require some good square footage for a box.. just put two in there and sell the others or something..
EDIT: for example I have 1 12 inch infinity and its wayy more than enough bass, people think i have two or sometimes three.. My buddy had 4 10" alpines in his explorer and it was ridiculously loud...
you guys do not do a very good job of listening..i already have them in my ranger. im already running this setup..
im not new to car audio in anyway, and thanks for the diagram, but im running two memphis pr500.1 @ 1ohm which is making 500rms..both amps are line matched, and yes each sub requires 1.25cuft of airspace...im runnin 1.2cuft for eachsub in its own chamber, and the enclosure is tuned to 35hz, and no..your single 12'' type r IS NOT louder than 4 tens. thats phsically impossible..four tens have over triple the cone area of your single 12. and on top of that, alpine type r's arnt even great of subs..not saying that the memphis power reference series is much better, but i know for a fact that what im running is way louder than what you have. and i wasnt asking for any opinions on what i should put in my gf's civic, i was asking to see some pictures of ways others who have done this have gone about it for the enclosure. thanks for the help...but people with actual car audio knowledge and experience would be great for helpful criticism..and as far as running this in a daily driver, its actually great, i have them in my extended cab ranger and i love it...im just putting them in her car because im looking to step it up a little more.
I could get you a 6th order or possibly a 4th order design shouldnt be that big thos subs will be louder ported. Not sure what your goal is sq or spl but you def dont need all four to get loud.Let me know I can design something my name is jdmferio13 on caraudio.com pm me there or on here.I also need dimensions of trunk.

ever think about doing an isobaric enclosure? Im not a fan...to me its a bit power hungry and not as efficient (just my opinion). but it does cut down on the box space if you still want to give the gf some trunk space. We did a buddys corolla sedan back in the day with 12 12's in 3 separte small enclosures....rediculous.

well cone area only plays affect when comparing to power how much power 1k to 4 tens Im running 6k to a single 15 and it takes it daily so yes I think I might.Whats your numbers on the tl.I am getting a thread for you its a 6th order bp I think would be perfect for a trunk.
Choking what i aint running a re xxx 15.I am running a custom 15 got a 4" coil motor, pap basket and pap soft parts. And trust me it is not choking at all.
