So a few weeks ago, I went out to the grocery store late at night. It was raining out. It hasn't rained much since I got my new wheels / tires put on so I took the turn into the parking lot a little fast to see how the tires held up in the rain. It was dark + the rain = bad light output and I took the turn too soon and I hit the corner of the curb where the entrance was. The right side of my car went up a few inches and thumped. I yelled "f**k!!!!" because I thought I curbed my wheels. I park, get out, didn't see anything, but again, it was raining, cold, and dark and I did a quick once over and didn't see anything on both wheels.

Fast forward to earlier today. I get out of my car to walk back into work and for some reason, I thought I should check the wheels again. Sure enough, a chunk maybe half the size of a penny is missing off each wheel right on the lip. I yelled f**k again lol. I'm so pissed. I mean I know they're not REAL wheels but still. I'm storing them for winter and I'm trying to maintain them as well as I can. I'm so depressed about it.

i thought you had a asr brace/sway bar? i think you should now sell that setup to me because you failed

when you take the wheels off for winter, go to a wheel shop of some sort if you think they are that bad, im sure it can be repaired/painted.. its only one wheel so atleast thats a good thing.

I'm eating dinner and have to leave for class in 10 minutes. Starting to get dark already anyways.

I do have that setup. My car handles absolutely amazing right now. My tires (Yokohoma S. Drives) actually do pretty good in the rain. I just couldn't see the curb that well with the rain comin down at night so I didn't time the turn right.

And it's both wheels on the passenger side of the car. Each wheel has a little chunk missing :(. It's not that much but it's a lot to me  .

Main reason why I went with 14s with high profile tires than go 15s or 16s with low profile.

Ouch man. I did something similar a couple years ago with my OLD wheels. Parked at the very last spot in a parking lot next to a curb. Went to back out, and my rim rode against the curb (screeeech).

Caused this:

But me and a friend fixed it.. came out freaking perfect.

New tires on order, so I didn't bother masking the tire

After:

How bad is yours? I'm sure you could get a shop do fix them at some point during the winter since they're off the car anyways.

It's nothing like yours. It's just 1 solid chunk missing in 1 spot on 2 rims. How much does something like that cost? I'd love to have them fixed up. It bothers me. Especially with white wheels. The shiny aluminum is so noticeable.

Buy my wheels, problem solved!

Pics of said damage please
Ha. I'm in so much debt already from all the s**t I've bought for my car.

Pics maybe tomorrow if I have time.
