i have a ls block that i am putting all forged internals due to dropping a valve. it was turboed when i bought it but didnt have vtec so doing that swap and just trying to figure if there was anything else i can do while its apart to free up some extra power but not spending alot of money such as "free mods". i do have a port and polishing kit and many other tools. i was going to do the p&p to the head just wondering if theres anything else i can do that could be easy power gained by changing small things or whatever. Any suggestions welcomed im sure many of yall have more experience with this than i do.

there's not really much you can do without investing in new parts or you up the boost. maybe do a 3angle valve job, deck the block and head for a little compression bump but that could hurt you down the line if you do want to run higher boost

thanks billy and im not going to be running very high boost. ill probably stick to about 5-7 for my daily driving and maybe like 12-15 racing but still gotta get everything back together and tune it and see how my setups going to do after i make sure everything is true and straight of course. any other feedback is welcomed!

check my sig!!

LsVtec can make a ton power with stock port and bore with just piston n rods!! (a nice set of cams would also wake it up, nothing crazy-CTRs/ITRs)

400who is very feasible on pump gas and should be good enough for low 11's and veryyy fun on the street. Just be safe and drive within reason

well right now i have the pistons, rods, and crank all forged, block guard, gsr head with type r cams with stock intake and throttle body. im doing a port and polish on the head right now myself which ive done to previous civics ive had with excellent results. also have race bearings. anything i can do to the stock manifold or throttle body besides replace and still gain some power? i heard taking the butterflies out help but not sure how to do it or if its worth it; any threads? i guess i need to do alittle more research before everything goes together. main problem right now is money so im trying to put it into the internals so everything else can be replaced easily later (which i hate doing but the wallet only allows so much). what do u mean by sigs i havent quite gotten all the "lingo" on here yet just trying to learn. thanks

honestly, you have EVERYTHING needed to reach and xceed you goal. No need to do all the little extras!!

now it's all up to your turbo and kit to see how much work it will take to make the power and use it well!

and a Sig is the quote or comment at the bottom of a forum user's post.

alright sweet thats what i needed to know i just like to have alittle more than necessary so its not running at its peak. i already have the head apart so that basically done. now with the intake thats still up in the air but like i said i like it to flow as well as possible so i can run lower rpms and boost to get the same result without it being so "harmful" to everything. i only have a t3/t4 turbo with 50/63 rating so thats another reason i want things to flow as well as possible. id like a better turbo but for what im doing i personally think it will work fine. anything yall can think of to make the best with that setup??

well if you are going to use the stock intake manifold.. a vacume box would be a good idea!!

You have more ports to add a vac source.. Boost gauge,BOV, and some hhok up the wastegate to the mani for precise control at the block instead of turbo.
