Decision about Which SI to get

Ok guys so I've been looking around for a SI for the last couple of weeks and today I found what I think is a good deal on two SI's at a local dealer and I'm torn between which one I should get.

The first is a 99 SI with 140k miles but looks clean as f**k and is completely stock for 4,900.

The second is a 00, only has 70k miles and has wheels, hood pins, fogs and I think it is lowered. Prob has more done to it but not sure yet. And it is 6,000.

I'm not completely sure on what the 00 has done to it because I called about the 99 from an add I saw and didn't realize they had it until later on. I'm going down there on monday to take a closer look.

I would be all over getting the 99 if it didn't have so many miles because its 1,100 cheaper and stock so better chance it hasn't been dogged on its whole life like the 00. Because I know if someone is going to be putting all that money into the 00 then they are driving it harder than usual.

I'm just posting to see what you guys thought. Just let me know your opinions.

Thanks

get the Carfax for both cars.
carfax.com

I pick the first one. 140,000 miles is nothing for a Honda.
also, test drive both cars.

That's probably what I'll end up doing but I just thought I'd get some input from you guys ^.^

Just scares me to buy something with so many miles but by the looks of it, it's prob 140k miles of normal driving as opposed to the 00 which has prob had 70k of dogging.

Thanks for the input guys.

Yea I will be sure to look at the carfax for both and will test drive both of them for sure.

Dude get the first one. Mileage means absolutely nothing. In fact, you probably won't notice a difference between the two (given the motor in the second one is all stock).

Yea only reason I'm worried about the mileage is, I'm planning on boosting whichever one I get.

You'd have to build the internals to withstand the boost regardless, so it shouldn't make a difference. You'd basically be giving your motor a rebuild to avoid problems in the future (blowing up your motor).
