You are better off taking that blaster coil back, it won't help out and will only give you headaches.
why does he need to get rid of it when with all hes doing hes gonna need better spark?
I've never heard of issues when things are done right
I agree, I had one once and it fried my dizzy.
Sounds like you guys didnt install them right.... Because blaster coils are very much useful when the right plugs are used, better wires and correctly gapped. The stock internal coil honda makes is weak and all your doing is supplying the combustion chamber better spark with supplying mods like stated above. There very much useful when high compression turbo or nitrous are used

To the OP
Awesome build, its coming along nicely, you got some awesome parts, alot i wish i had but no funds, lol
Ill be following your build.
Any hp number goals you have?

I would love to have 220-250 to the wheels but thats pushing it. I guess a bone stock GSR with 160-170 hp and all the mods with a good tune may get me close to that. The 75 shot of nitrous will definately help. lol I guess we'll see!! Thanks for the comments everyone.

Small update: Ive almost got my shift light mounted. I'll post up pics when its finished. =)

depends on the dyno i guess, mustang dynos tend to read alot lower then true numbers where as dynapacks tend to be very accurate or read a tad higher. It also all depends on the tune.
But dude with that 75 shot alone with proper tune you should be over 260, lol
Lemme put it this way, if your gsr stock doesnt put down 180+ ill be disappointed. Cause think you have a jdm gsr which also has a little more compression then a usdm gsr does. My ls/vtec in which i used stock ls pistons put down 193whp and 152ft-lbs of torque, so either that was an amazing motor or my guy that tunes cars knows what hes doing, haha
Im hoping for 220 with new pistons so i mean you should def be over your number.
Good luck to you tho and def keep us updated

Small update...Just installed my shift light. I think it turned out OK. I still have to get the wires straight and CLEAN UP. Please overlook the photos and the sucky interior. (Its very dirty) Im going to redo it with all new OEM when the engine is done.

1. Popped out my defrost vent from the upper right hand corner of the dash.
[/IMG]

2. Drew a template on a scrap piece of stainless steel. I used the vent as a guide.

3. Formed the cut out and worked it until I got it to fit the hole as best as possible.
[/IMG]

4. Lined up the Light, marked the holes and drilled them out. After drilling, a quick test fit.
[/IMG]

5. Scuffed the base down and primed it with self etching primer. After primer, painted a few coats of semi gloss black.
[/IMG]

6. My original plan didnt work out...I had to use the vent itself to fasten my freshly made base to the dash. I just drilled 2 small holes in the vent and bolted my base to the vent. Now all I have to do is pop the vent in and there is my base that fits like OEM. I hooked up the 3 wires and tested it out.
[/IMG]

7. Not only can you change the color of the shift light, but you can set multiple shift points and have a launch point set. (Thats what I bought it) This thing is pretty cool and is very accurate. Heres some pics of the different colors you can choose from.

Your an idiot, the OP knew what i was getting at and i wasn't comparing my ls/vtec to his gsr, i was simply stating he should make more power then he expects to. Learn to read and not thread jack noob

OP
Anymore updates?

Looking good man. Some extended wheel studs and rear lip would really set it off.
