im pretty surprised this thread has been seen by atleast 2 mods and not been locked. it seems like anytime somthing is said about them they get on the butt-hurt band wagon and lock s**t. im not stiring the pot, im saying whats true....if you have a issue with it hit me up with a pm because i dont wanna make you look like a fool infront of everyone

the reason i keep coming here... i like the people who are here no matter what... the loyal folks who come here to make interesting conversation...

pretty much... there is a certain crowd here that has been here as long as i can remember... who is the comical crowd... the ones to make you laugh. they can be assholes at times... but that sometimes... is what makes them funny.

ogs cant be considered ogs anymore.... because majority of them... have gone.... and have come back years later... and claim og status...

i spoke with max a few times about this... even if you let him back... he wont come back... he may post a few here and there.. but it wont ever be like before.

there used to be a time that when i went into the lounge... and in the column where it said.. last post at... by..so and so... i used to click it just because i wanted to see what they said.

that time has gone away... there are no more interesting things to read about... they are all monitored..

I've been a mod for... well... years. 4 or 5, I can't remember exactly. For as long as I've been a mod, this is the way the site has been run. The difference is not that it's become stricter. The difference is that we've had some serious asses who have come in, made a clique of core friends and e-thugged everyone away from the site. New members were no longer welcome by these certain members unless they conformed. While this was a great time for members of the clique, the rest of the site suffered. The members of these groups all learned how to be assholes to people outside of the group and it became normal for them to break rules (mainly flaming.) If you break the rules, you get an infraction.. simple as that. Rules are necessary for the greater good... without rules, chaos ensues.

The reason it didn't used to seem so strict before the max and ryan periods.. is that people like and including Anfrey were the popular ones on the site who people wanted to clique with. They were very non-confrontational, understanding, and willing to accept people for who they were. We had a more supportive population on CC to a point where people would frequently ask for advice with very personal problems, and would feel comfortable venting and gaining support from other CC members. It was a trusting community, often referred to as a "family." Obviously, there wasn't much rule breaking during this time and thus moderator action was not seen very often.

I know this all sounds very much like a high school popularity contest, but hell.. that's very close to what it is.

s**t, I've asked to be a mod, and been told by several people I'd be a good mod, but OC has a thing against me being a mod.

The reason it's dead is because we have members who are dicks to every 09er, I admit I've done my fair share of 09er bashing, but some members need to realize, not all 09ers are stupid.
