It's been suggested but it'd be too much work for the staff to basically watch over what new members say and post.

The amount of members we have / by the 6 years / 365 days equals 39.4 members a day, so say 39-40 members a day. All the staff would be tied up with regulating new members instead of doing their job and moderating the forums.

so there isnt a way to limit their posts like its limited for vip? thats the way it is over on honda-tech and it seems to help out a little with the people who signed up 2 minutes ago, and their first post is already asking to be spoon fed

Limit their posts for what? How many they can post a day? It's just something else staff would have to keep an eye out for, then we run into the issue of having people sign up multiple times.

I'm never on here anymore for a lot of reasons. Most of my feelings about this site, Chris has already posted, so I won't bother to repost them, read his posts. I feel the same way.

Now- I don't like to do this, but Biz, honestly, I haven't been back regularly since you became a mod. I have never respected you, and don't feel you have helped being a mod. Making you blue was one of the biggest mistakes Justin and Anthony ever made.

I know a lot of members on here outside of the forum, and many of us from the old days, back when Justin was really here, and not just occasionally passing though, feel the same way Chris does. We've all moved on to other forums, and stages of life. This site has gone back to the childishness that it was before, and yes it will go in cycles, so this thread and my post now seem moot because it is not going to change anything.

As it's well known, I am friends with Max, he will never come back here so theres no need to worry about that. He's got knowledge that no one on here has, and he refuses to share any of it again with this site because of how poorly run this place became. Does he and others still lurk? Yes. Do they post? Maybe. But unlikely. ClubCivic used to be a respected community, when we had a ton of meets, and people who genuinely cared about builds, and how to do them correctly, not the cheapest way. Its sad this site was more mature when it was an infant.
On that same note, no one on here is ever grateful to those with real answers or knowledge. Hence why we only have a few folks left who have the knowledge to keep this kind of site alive. We would all be lying if we said Max, and others who are no longer here for one reason or another, didn't make this site what it once was. There was a time where it was packed with useful knowledge, and a ton of dicks. But now that most of those dicks are gone, so is the quality of the knowledge. As hard as we used to be on new members and people with childish questions made this site strong, it forced them to look for themselves.

Do I blame anyone here for all of that? No, it does no good, its a website, and should have been closed long ago. But there are always a fresh set of new members to keep this limping along. Thats enough of my posting for today, as I'm sure it won't be read by Justin, or Anthony unless they get linked to it.

Tom- if you read this, you know none of this is directed at you. You know I have nothing but respect for you, and think you have been the most consistent, level headed, and knowledgeable mod and member this site still has.

So I just read every post in the thread and wow.
Ive been here quite a while, back to where JayJay was actually active posted and asked questions. This site has come such a long way and done its ups and downs like everything in life. Right now the noobs are out of hand but as stated there is nothing we can do about that. The Anfrey Ages were the best IMO but right before dank and turbo95 were banned was a close second. I never owned a civic until 2 years ago and its not even a street car. Ive seen many people in this forum go through the civic phase and move on to something different but many return and many for the off-topic forum. Truth be told the OT, VIP and 4th gen are the biggest reasons I keep coming back. This place is like home for me even though I live no where near anyone. I remember the days of looking at huge bay area meets with seanjohn, R4B and team 4R the FBP crew and felt like I was there. Everyone was a tight knit community and called everyone by name. Ah the good old days....I gotta give a hand to the mod of the site for doing a great job and all previous mods. everyone from Biz to joe to Chris and OC for being the 1st red since JayJay.
Another thing....my post count would be way higher but i tend to stick in the OT....So there goes 3 000 posts....

this was brought up a while ago, and the problem with that is people sign up here to ask questions, which most of them have right when they sign up and they need to be answered. would you like it if you had a (legit) question that could use a quick answer, only to have to wait a week before you post?

all thats gonna do is keep people away.

^^ Yea I havn't read much in this thread, but I get the gist of it. And I havn't been here for long, but the noob threads are getting ridiculous. Should I buy this? What do you think about..... How do you do... I mean, I realize there's no way to control it but it gets annoying. And I must admit, most people on here seniority seem to be pretty cool. At times they're funny as hell but assholes at others, but still, they know their s**t and would help out when someone legitimately needs it. If not for the regulars on this site, CC wouldn't be what it is and wouldn't have much of an incentive to spend my time here.

why doesn't the site sometimes go along with certain Normal day holiday's etc.? like we have a snow man or Santa in a civic on top of the site. let's be f**king jolly people!

i would of loved to see a turkey about to get run over by a member's ride as the banner for thanksgiving. I would of even been happy to supply thing's of that nature to give the site a more "always up to date" feel
