h beam or i beam rods

when building a boosted motor which rod is better the h beam or i beam???? and what is the difference in the two???

Things have changed since these style rods were first designed. Just use the correct rod for the correct HP rating and you will be fine.

I believe H beam is thicker and will be able to make more power but weigh a couple ounces more.

H-beam, they are more ridged as well.. will hold more power with sacrificing a couple ounces per rod

so all in all h beam is a stronger but heavier rod correct????

H-Beams so you don't have to worry about anything breaking

correct they are heavier, getem tho. i am running a set with weisco pistons, and acl rod bearings. my motor the way it is built will hold about 16 psi before the cylinder walls go. thats only out of a big turbo tho, that moves ALOT of cubic feet of air per min. sacrifice a lillte wieght for awsome power and tunning potential. oherwise youl be replacing them anyway.
