-I gave birth to my daughter in January during a snow storm.
-I watched her accomplish all the major milestones while going back to work full-time.
-My husband's great-aunt passed away on my birthday. We left the next day on vacation to see my parents in NC.
-Me and my husband survived our first year Anni (marriage) in July.
-Our mutual friend seprated from his wife with two children. We kinda felt guilty because it was the last straw for him after me and his wife had a playdate go wrong. She took off and left me in the house with my daughter without saying a word where she was going. He called my husband the next day and said he moved out and was staying at his parents. He is now a part of our extended family.
-My best friend from college lost her father to cancer in Aug. I was her support from a distance.
-My husband's grandmother passed away in Oct. She was 94 and 3 weeks shy of her 95th birthday. We were suppose to go on vacation to NC that week. We then realized within a year we had 3 funerals in the family. (Hubby's cousin passed away last Thanksgiving day. The her mother passed in April. Her sister passed away in Oct. All 6 months apart.)
-I was offered a better position at work to where me and my husband's schedules don't clash.
-I hosted my first immediate family thanksgiving that turned out like "A Christmas Story". I pre-ordered a fully cooked turkey through our local grocery store to make it easier since my parents were visiting from NC and my father-in-laws first holiday without his family. I was trying to make it all perfect. I go to pick up the turkey with my father and a soliciter appoaches us. My father goes off on the woman telling her off and to get a f**king job instead of begging. We get the turkey home finally. I open the box and EVERYTHING is FROZEN! WTF?????????? I was under the impression the turkey was COOKED and was HOT and ready to serve and just maybe it needed to be preheated. I then proceed to punch a hole in the wall, which was the main support beam holding the roof up.
Dispite me throwing a temper tantrum, my mother chimes in by singing "FRAH FRAH FRAH RAH RAH RAAAHHHHHH". I wanted to throw her out of my house. We ended up having a really great ham dinner.
-15 Black Friday brawls at our store was nothing to f**k with. These people mean business out here in the subburbs!
-A few old friends come back in my life and one confesses his love to me the day after his divorce is finalized. LOL...
-We closed on a house as of Wednesday and move into a 3 bed 2 bad house with detached 2 1/2 car garage tomorrow! Hubby buys a snow blower after 5 years of living up here without one, to celebrate.
-Can't believe my daughter will be a year in 3 weeks. Small party with my friends and ice cream cake.
