i cleaned up my engine from when i first got the car =) heres some pics


when i first opened up the hood


In the process of cleaning it


after we got done washing it


Smacked some paint on

Damn, looks nice as hell, what did you do, just took a pressure hose and sprayed it down?

I also want to paint my head, last owner painted it silver but its peeling off.

I never really put much effort in cleaning my engine maybe a spray once n a while, nothing really to see I just want it to run well but deff a vast improvement on your end :D

i clean mine with carb/intake cleaner. it's only $1.80 at walmart per like 22oz can, and that s**t cuts through dirt like woah

anyways, nice job! now take the heat shield off or paint it too. flat black looks good

i never noticed the oil cap is on the right side of the valve cover on D series motors :lol:. jdm oil cap FTW :thumbs up

Brake cleaner and a brush work wonders too.

Only the D16's have the oil cap on the drivers side. D15's have them on the same side as B-Series, cept theyre on the exhaust side of the cover (whereas B-Series have them on the intake side). Just alittle FYI for ya there, Billy. ;)

yea took it to the car wash and just washed it down

yea tha heat shield bugs me alot im just gonna wait till i get a better job to buy headers

if i paint the heat shield should i use the paint that could hold up to like 500degrees?

i wouldn't even bother you are gonna take off the heatsheild and i can guarantee you that your gonna snap the bolts! just leave it especially if your planning on getting headers

I didn't know we had two exhaust manifolds. :D



I'm kidding. In all honesty, nice job. I need to spray mine down.
