dont blame ya man. and it makes it so much esier to find issues if the arise under the hood. good workmanship with the paint. do you have any plans for ur setup? those single cams are a snap ta work on.

umm for right now im just gonna throw tha simple bolt ons like headers intake etc.
but im planin on savin till im 18 for a swap or ima just boost it

to answer your question, ya you would need to use some kind of heat resistant paint if you were to paint the heat shield.
