So my computer was shot and have no way of getting my iTunes back up on it. I purchased a new computer and for Christmas got an iPod touch. Is there any way to go about transferring the music on my old iPod to the new iTunes?

I tried hooking up my old iPod to the newly installed iTunes and it only transferred over the songs I have bought. The majority of the songs on my old iPod are downloaded. Is this because the files to the songs are not on this computer?

It was actually shot, I'm uncomfortable talking about it because it was a life death situation. Long story short someone aimed a gun at me to fire and the only thing I had on me at the time was the laptop, I put that in front of my face and it stopped the bullet. I was able to escape from there on out.

1.Plug your iPod or iPhone into your computer.
2.From the Desktop, go to My Computer and find the iPod (usually designated by a drive letter. i e. E: or F
3.Open the damn thing.
4.Go to Tools > Folder Options > View (the tab) > scroll to Show Hidden Files and Folders and click it.
5.Click OK
6.Go back to your iPod folder/drive, there you will find a new folder called iPod_Control
7.Open it.
The Music folder in it will have a bunch of folders named F00, F01 and so on. THERE HAVE YOUR MP3s AND VIDEOS. Look through the folders to find your stuff.

there's a software called copytrans suite, you can transfer all the music on your old ipod to your computer and then transfer them to itunes and your new ipod , or also with the software you can make just a backup file of your old ipod and reload it on the new one, the problem is that you need to have enough space on your pc to allocate all the content of your ipod, this tool is really useful i've made that the 4 times that i've changed of ipod and another 2 times when my pc have crashed

ok then you're going to have to go to: control panel>folder options>view, and change the settings from there.

this method also works, but sometimes the info of your songs are erased and then you just have the code name that the ipod gives to the files, and you have to put all the info manually, like the song name author disc name the disc cover and all that info, i've already tried that

I always use a program called imtoo only problem is it won't copy apps, but you can redownload them manually.
