damn now i wanna get one how's the feeling of the steering wheel bheims give a full review of this ppurrttyy pppllllleeeaaaassseeee
....ok ill give it a try haha
Logitech G27. It has a turn/push to lock mechanism on the wheel and the shifter (so you can have it RHD or LHD). Unless you have a chair/frame for it it does move around under spirited driving. Its not really that big of a deal if you dont mind screwing things back on once in awhile. We screwed the shifter and wheel onto a shelf (basically) that sat in your lap while the pedals were on the ground. The pedals have carpet spikes that work ok, they still tend to shift around. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and the setup is HEAVY, feels very solid.
Game we used was GT: Prologue. Since its a glorified demo there are definitely kinks that need to be worked out but overall it was incredible. The wheel has adjustable resistance and it feels amazing, the cars all felt different and for the first time in my life i knew what it was like to play a driving simulator as the game intended. On the shifter there is a dpad and 4 buttons that serve as PS3 controls (x, circle, square, triangle). The shifter has a leather shift boot (nice touch) and clicks into place when you shift gears, there is no resistance on the shifter so its easy to throw it into gear but meh, I can deal with it.
Bottom line - its like buying an entirely new game when this is involved. You can really feel the difference between a fwd, rwd, awd, much more than normal. Its as close to driving a real Skyline as I've ever come
I do wonder what its like on an arcade style racer or another "driving simulator", $300 is tough to justify, especially if it were only REALLY beneficial on 1 game lol.
