Just a general question but if you window motors are going very slow/sometimes don't work is there anything you can do to fix it? or should I just replace the motor and not think about fixing it

Spray some silicone lubricant into the rubber side channels where the window glass slides. That should do it.

I'll have to give this a shot; my passenger side window does this. Need to pick up some silicone lubricant.

Adjusting the tracks can help, there is some movement in the mtg holes.
Greasing the slides that the wheels run in also helps.
And some motors have a pressure adjustment set screw on them.
Increasing the pressure can help a lot.

i have slow downs on my passenger side, i lubricated my sides... it helps a little.
fixing the track is a lot of work for me.. ahaha i did on my drivers side when it fell off it's track. i rather keep a slow moving passenger window.

don't mean to thread jack, but i have a window related problem. my drivers side window is acting up, i believe it fell off it's track. how do i fix this? do i have to remove the interior panel? & if so, how?

All i can add is do it and do it soon. I waited way to long to do mine and my driver side window popped out of the bracket. had to take my door apart and fix it, which it had ended up snapping the power arm on my window motor. So, instead of paying $80 for a motor and $50 for a guy to put it in, pay $15 for the silicone spray. its worth it.

bump!

so like i finally got the time to diagnose my window problem. i removed the interior panel & removed some of the white tarp-like material. anyway, there's two bolts on the window motor arm thing, & they're getting caught in the holes of the panel closer to the inside of the car. i tried to pull out the panel so that the bolts would have enough clearance but that didn't work. & if i remember correctly, i could see that one of the arms is beginning to crack.

what to do? probably gonna go to a shop, unless anyone else got other bright ideas?

BUMP!
so i was reading this thread about 2 weeks ago then the other day i rolled my passenger window down and it wouldnt go up lmao, so then i came back to this thread and looked over it, then took apart the whole passenger door panel and fixed it, the window fell off the track and wasnt going up straight so it would stop about half way. i ended up fixing it, took about maybe 30 mins, wasnt hard lol.
Thanks RonJ

this happens to me on my passenger side of my 98 ex coupe, but after putting the window up and down a couple of times, the window comes out of the rail. i have taken the door apart, relubricated the rails, but the window still comes out of the track. any ideas?

^^^Did you spray silicone lubricant into the rubber side channels? If so, try a glass adjustment (see diagrams). If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the window regulator.
