best router for xbox 360

I use a wireless linksys I bought from someone on this site and it works perfect! I do have it hardwired to my 360 tho.

it drops internet both wirelessly and hardlined. the internet icon doesnt even come on on the router itself. it did this when i had it at school, then i brought it home and hooked it up and it worked until we had a power outage one afternoon, and havent been able to get internet on it since.

Sounds like you have a hardware or firmware issue, have you called Linksys?

yea the nic card went out on my desktop... so im using wireless for everything but the Xbox and the directv... i have the modem behind the tv and hardwired into the xbox.... i have 4 computers running wireless at the same time.

like i said.. i have the linksys wrt54g.. but its running tomato firmware..

its honestly not bad... i miss my netgear that i gave away....

im going to pick up a better range router in the future... as well as a better wireless card for my desktop and laptop... the laptop im on right now is an ibm thinkpad T23... it doesnt have onboard wireless... so i have to use a card.

wired is usually the best for a good connection anyways. My wireless router is wired to my ps3 and 360. F wireless.

i want to get a new router anyway. i stay in the basement and the router is at the other end of the house upstairs, so im just going to upgrade, i dont feel like screwing around with problems with the wrt54g every couple of weeks.
