Alright so I have a civic lx as my daily driver and I want alittle something more fun for the summer, so I've been toying with the idea of getting a Del sol. Any thoughts about the car I'd like to here. I've been looking at one lately and its a 95' si. Does the Delsol si come with Vtec? I know the S does not. Any thoughts, oppinion, and suggestions would be awesome! Thanks.

I believe the "si" has the y8 or z6 in it (depending on year). The VTEC trim del Sol has the B16 in it. Im actually looking into getting one as my DD. From what Ive seen, theyre good cars. :what:

It's basically a convertible Civic. Drive your Civic and imagine it with no roof. You have a Del Sol..

yea except its basically what the crv is to the civic platform, a totally different car.

The crv was actually built off the civic platform, believe it or not. Go ask Honda.

I thought the Del Sol was based off the CR-X, which is why it's name is "Honda CR-X del Sol"

I'm pretty sure the si is a b16 with vtec, and the next lowest trim is a sohc with vtec

The "S" trim has the b7/y7 in it, "Si" has the z6/y8, and the "VTEC" has the B16 in it. Look it up. Im almost 95% sure Im right...

alright cool thanks guys. I heard these things were pretty reliable. I wonder if I could drive her year round. The motor only has 96,000 on it. I mean for being 15 years old thats not alot at all.
