Boosted LS: Misfire problem???

Hi I just got my 94' hatch w/ an ls turbo running and everything is good as far as turbo kit but when i started it for the first time last night (in like 2 months) it has a nasty miss fire, so I changed the plugs and switched chips and it still doing the same thing, I dont think if its a boost leak because it runs perfect when you rev it up a little bit the miss goes right away... It drives pretty good even, it just has a low sluggish idle (600). Its been a couple days and I cant figure it out now?? Any ideas or thoughts would help me in advance. Maybe its just cause its untuned (im running a base map chip) or cause I tapped my vacum off the brake booster?? I just dont know :cry: :cry: :cry:

also since i thought its been sitting for 2-3 months could the gas be bad already and make it spudder and idel like s**t? I will try to empty my tank and refill it then try it ill let you guys kno. Please say any other suggestions you may have.. thanks

Boost leak under idle shouldn't cause that... it won't build boost under idle.. boost leak would make it drive bad and you said it drives fine?

Any CEL codes?

How old are the plug wires, cap, and rotor? Is the ignition timing set to spec?

i dont think its a boost leak cause it drove pretty good.

all the timming is set to factory and plugs are brand new. But i will try changing the wires, cap and rotor for shits a giggles...

The only things i can think of are 1 bad gas and 2 i didnt gap the plugs to .028 they were at 0.41 i think.
Only reason i think its bad gas cause it sat for over 2 months. I m going to siphon the old gas out and put fresh 93 in it.

Gap the plugs properly, inspect the cap and rotor, and resistance test the plug wires.

the plug wires are old as hell anyway so I'm going to change those when i get home from work. But it was running PERFECT before i put it up and slapped the turbo on it ... weird as dumb as it sounds i think its the gas

I hope its the wires or the old gas !! Man if thats it I'm going to get tuned ASAP!!! Thanks guys and I'll let you know what it turns out to be.

Ok so I tried to syphon out the gas tank but I cant get the tube all the way down into the gas?? Is there any other way to drain your gas? Is it hard to drop the tank down? anyone

Did you already do the other items mentioned? You also might want to compression test the cylinders.

could it have lost compression just sitting for 2 or 3 months? I never even drove it... I got new plugs gapped them right, new wires and just now read that there is a drain plug on the gas tank so i'll be doing all this tonight, I'll fire her up see if that was it.

Never run a boosted car on a basemap, your lucky it didnt blow the engine yet.

Ok so I did all the stuff listed and it will still barley idle. New gas and all that was not the problem. I cant figure this out no CEL's idk what to do. Would it run this shitty with rc440 a 255 pump and no tune?? It will BARLEY idle without dieing. Checked the cap and rotor and there farily new looking. Can i get vac off the fpr for the bov and boost gauge??

Make a list of what exactly you've done since posting the thread to avoid repeat suggestions.

-new fuel pump
-new plugs gapped right
-new plug wires
-drained all the gas out and filled w/ new 93
also i looked for vac leaks but would that make it idle that shitty?
and im running my bov and boost gauge tapped off my fpr. is that ok?

In addition to the low idle problem, are there any other problems like the misfiring mentioned in the first post?

Well im not sure if its missing or not!? Its running like i have a spark plug unhooked or i have a wicked vacumm leak. Why would i never get a cel??

i might just take a video and post it so you can hear it run... Im not new to hondas but i've never had an issue like this just from putting a turbo on. Ive checked everything
