Did I get ripped off for muffler work?

Went at the garage today and had a new muffler installed ( lost the other one somewhere in the streets I hate fkn winter) and I had a whole in my exhaust but didnt want to change it so The mechanic welded a piece of metal over the whole and installed a brand new muffler for 250$! My question is : is it a fair price or did I get ripped off ? the car was too loud, had to do it ASAP not for the police lol for me it was gettin really annoying

I guess it just depends on what muffler, and the quality of work.... Could you have done something better with 250 like get a new cat back or even used cat back yeah sure, but are you the kinda person that doesn't like to do the work and just needed it back to normal? Then sure it's a done deal... Honestly 250 isn't something that just screams you got bent... you might find a better deal somewhere... But its done and over with.... Move on

You got ripped a new one. You could of gotten the whole exhaust piping re done for that price or bought an after market exhaust from cat-back.
