Hi everyone, im very new to civics even though ive always had a thing for them. I finally picked up a 1998 civic ex coupe and i got 3k to put into it. I was looking to get a good turbo kit and some better internals to handle the new horsepower. Some links would really help. Also is there a horsepower where i might have to change parts? For example i had a volvo s40 and past 300hp the connecting rods would break and the tranny would start messing up. Anything like that with hondas? Thanks and have a great day!

motor wise your best bet is the eagle rod/vitara piston combo. Speedfactory makes a combo for 475.00

turbo stuff...you could piece a kit together (manifold, turbo, wastegate, intercooler, piping, and blow off valve) then you need a fuel pump, injectors, and a engine management system.

It is quite possible to do this for under 3k...you'll have to look hard, but its very possible

I bet finding every piece individually would be cheaper but i dont know that much about cars to put together a turbo kit.I did found some turbo kits for around 3k though that im considering buying. Does anyone have any experience with any of these or have heard any reviews about these? If you have experience for a better one or a better cheap one i would could really appreciate a link.

http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/gostkit.html << this will be your best bet.

you can peice together a kit and worry about fitment later or you can buy the whole thing and be worry free and know it will work.

Injectors and pump can be found here >> http://www.xenocron.com/fuel-pump-injector-combo-p-244.html

so everything can be done for under 3k including a tune.

This way you know it is reliable and not trying to fix stupid s**t that breaks because you tried to save a few bucks.

the vitara piston/eagle rod combo is the best bang for your buck. Many people have used that combo and made 500+ horsepower.

Go-Autoworks is a great place to look if your trying to get a 'kit' they are good priced and the quality is stellar.

I do suggest buying the combo i posted earlier of rods/pistons from speedfactory. Tell em Jason sent ya
