looks cheap..i'd stay away from places that sell EVERYTHING, such as the radiator as well(in the kit) plus..thats way to cheap if the parts were quality parts.
the money you'd spend on a nice bov, wastegate, and intercooler piping might cost you around $1500 after you buy that kit anyway..so with that $1500 you can just go make your own kit and have it more reliable

Looks like just another ebay kit. the oil return line is cheap, so is the intercooler piping, the turbo might hold up if you use a restrictr.
You will have to replace alot of s**t right after you build it.. trust me, youll spend twice as much replacing s**t later on. Just go with the Autoworks kit that has been tried and true and has fitment right out of the box.

People have been trying to shave a few bucks here and there and it NEVER works out. If your going to do it, DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME and that will 1 less thing to worry about down the road.

thanx to all and doing it correct the first time is why i asked. turbo is all i have left to purchase, the next step for my motor would be sleeving but alas no time! everything else is built pretty damn good if i do say so. but thanks again all.

You dont need half of this s**t.

Buy a nice cheap cast mani and turbo...pick up some cheapass intercooler/piping/bov...nice oil lines and injectors. Tune it and youre done. Im all about getting stuff done on a budget. What many people dont realize is that money doesnt equal power. If you do your research youll see what im talking about.

Yea, everyone has tried that rounte "on a budget" and 99% have replaced most of all of the parts thus spending double to do it right the 1st time.

so, according to you, FMIC, charge piping, bov, nice oil lines, injectors and a tune and your done ehh.. lets do the math here since i have seen this being preached time and time again.

Fuel Pump and injectors - 300
FMIC - 100
piping- 100
BOV - 100
wastegate- 225
oil feed lines - 50-75
drain line - 45
flanges for oil lines- 50
couplers - 50
clamps - 25
cheap cast mani - 100
ebay turbo - 200
custom fit downpipe 200
custom dump tube - 50-80
$100 for misc clamps, hoses, etc

another 200 or so for welding and any type of fitment

= 1905 for the high price

recommended stuff:
boost gauge - 50
oil pressure gauge- 50
radiator - 200
fan - 45

Im still waiting to see what and where all these parts are coming from.

So, you might be the one person who is thrifty finding parts from friends and can make it work. But what about the noob who has no clue and winds up looking at ebay kits (which are the cheapest kits around) then has to pay to get it installed, fixed, then replaced.

OP: like i said, Do it right the first time unless you want to be fixing your car every weekend. Why gamble with crap that you hope wont break over a few extra bucks for reliability and support after the sale.

just dont cheap out on the engine management/tuning. thats where it really counts
x281980982

has your set-up held together fairly well? and if u lie ur toe nails will fall off:lol:
It was fine until a little after 12k. The ebay turbo started pushing oil. blastperformance rebuilds ebay turbos with garret internals for $260. So $150 for an ebay turbo+260 rebuild=$410 for an almost new garret turbo.

All the ebay parts ive recommended are simple s**t that has been proven to work. The wastegates and bov are just a fancy device with a spring. The piping is just piping. Ive seen ppl use pvc pipe. All it has to do it hold pressure. Why pay lots of money if you can get something that does the same thing for half the cost.

no question, if the money gods are good it will be the s-300 if not than i will get s-100.
See what your tuner uses. Crome/ECtune/Neptune are all free.

I still dont know the difference between the garbage that you posted and an ebay kit. either way you will be replacing that s**t soon!

IDK what muffler shops mandrel bend a custom DP for 150.. those start at 250

All the crap you posted still has the OP spening 1600-1700 bucks with no guarantee that everything will fit and work.

I would go Neptune RTP over the overpriced hondata

Ok so out of the things that Ive posted, what will go wrong seeing as you know so much? Is it no good because it doesnt say skunk2 or tial or greddy? You dont know what youre talking about. Youre the example of money = power. From what it looks like, my car has made more power than you with half the money spent. Have you actually tried any of the parts I suggested?

edit just looked at your build/new pics link and youre running an obx bov. OBX is ebay lol

And dont take this personal. Were just having a discussion. I apologize if im coming off like an a*****e. Just trying to save the kid some money.

OP: do what you want.. you dont know if it will work until your break apart your car and try to get everything to fit and work. these problems have been happening for years now.

I also tried the cheap route.I got some piece of s**t manifold that made the small turbo hit the block. so i had to replace that.
got a different cast peice of s**t manifold, and the studs kept falling out no matter how much loc-tite i used they would still get a leak. I got a Autoworks manifold and everything works great.

The cheap drain lines didnt fit/connect well and leaked. had to replace with russell lines.

Replaced ebay turbo with new garrett.. who wants to rebuild a turbo every 6 months?
