Pioneer AVIC-U310BT into EM2

Okay guys so I really really want this unit Pioneer AVIC-U310BT
Its a double-DIN, Crutchfield says it won't fit, because the EM2 is a single-DIN, but I'm wondering, what if I pull out the headunit and the slot underneath, effectively making it double-DIN. My only concern is the dimensions of the Pioneer AVIC-U310BT and if it'll fit in the space in the dash?

Sorry, here's fixed http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130AVIC310/Pioneer-AVIC-U310BT.html?tp=20212
It'll fit

just gotta get a double din dash kit
Yeah but after double checking the specs, I don't know if it will suit my needs because it only has two sets of preamp outputs--front and rear/sub switchable.

Question: Right now I have an Alpine with the front preamps connected to the RF amp for the front speakers, and rear preamps connected to the RF amp for the rear speakers.
Now what if I want to add a sub? Is it possible to run both front and rear speakers through the amp connected only to the front preamp outputs, and then the sub preamp powering a mono amp for the sub?
Or would that effectively cut the power of the front preamp output in half, since it's powering both sets of speakers?

This audio s**t is so complicated, I wish I could just find a in-dash nav. unit that has three sets of preamps..

Ditch as in don't have rear speakers? But I like my rears..lol.

But just one more question. Are all the removal keys standard? Because I don't have the set that came with the Alpine 7859 all I have are keys from an old Alpine I had in my LS. But they won't fit for s**t in the 7859 in my Civic. So basically I can't even get what's in there out.
Are all the keys the same and I'm just dumb? Because it seems like they're too wide..not wide but too tall like they won't fit into the slot..

rear speakers are just for ambience anyway. if i do run a rear stage in a car its usually very low and in mono. ideally you want the bulk of the sound to be coming from where you are sitting. but if you like rears, run 'em.

as far as removal keys im not going to be much help. i assume you are talking about the thin strips of metal you slide down each side to remove the head unit from the sleeve. whatever you have should work. you just need something thin to slide down each side to seperate the little locking mechanism on the side.
ive used everything from butter knives to slim jims in the past. it'll come out. just fiddle with it a bit. worse case go to lowes and get a few inches of plumbers strap (its just a thin strip of metal with some pre drilled holes)...shove a piece in each side and pull the deck out.

Yeah, those thin strips of metal are exactly what I mean. I thought all keys were generic/universal, but apparently not, they're all different corresponding with different production years. I ended up having to pull the whole dash(including the HVAC controls, vents, the whole deal)
If u wanna keep the rears, run them off hu power
How would I do that though? Because the Alpine I have in there now only has one set of preamps--rear, and I have that connected to the amp.
EDIT:wait, answered my own question, the wires..DUH:lol:

Anyways, I greatly appreciate all of the help guys, but I afraid some of it was for naught, as I have decided to buy somethign different. http://www.clubcivic.com/board/showthread.php?p=2840262#post2840262
