Brian, Shane.. what do you guys think of this? i really like what i see and the prices looks nice. it is refurbished tho, which means THERE WAS something wrong. please look, i know you guys know more about Macintosh then me.

It depends what your looking for in a computer.. I personally am not a Mac fan and would not buy any refurbished computer.

The price seems pretty good, The hard drive is pretty small if your okay with that. Also there is only 1gig of ram.

Here's my :twocents:
  1. If your into movies making, and editing pictures/movies etc I would go with a bigger Hard Drive and more Ram..
  2. If your into basic web browsing, streaming videos, email (basic stuff) This sounds like a good deal
  3. If your a Gamer Go with a lot more Ram and bigger Hard Drive and better Video Card, Sound Card, etc

Also at the bottom of page there is a list. I highlighted some important details you may want to consider.
# Refurbished System Grades:
# Grade B
# System is in very good condition (many vendors would sell these as "A Grade")
# Has cosmetic blemishes, examples of which are (but not limited to):
# Missing bezel covers, back plates, expansion slot covers
# Scratches in case
# Hairline crack in case
# May be missing manual, drivers, operating system, bezel covers

# Etc.

wow thats a pretty good price. What r u planning on doing with it? If its just for email/internet/basic stuff than this is more than enough. Upgradable RAM to 8gigs...id upgrade to at least 2gigs. Hard drive is somewhat small but i doubt you'd ever fill 160gigs, if u get close just buy an external

My macbook pro was refurbished and I have no complaints? but yes i hear what SGiovanni is sayin.

you can buy apple care within 1 year of purchasing the comp and they will fix anything no questions asked (least thats my understanding of it). My guess is itd be a few hundred bucks to protect that

If anyone in the South Metro area of Minnesota I own a business fixing computers.
85$ for virus-removal + tune-up and everything else
40$ for just tune-up

If I cant fix the problem You pay nothing.

what i'll be doing with my pc.

word proccessing.
web browsering
multimedia ( music & photos[dowloading, and creating])
3D modeling via Cad software. ( i already know i need memory, graphics, and cpu power for this)

And, that's pretty much it.

I don't need tons of hard drive space. anything over 500 gbs is overkill for me.
I will not be playing games
i will not be watching movies. videos on you tube? yes. lol.

i know how to work on internals, so if i have to i can always upgrade whatever's inside.

now if i only had the money
