Tonight i dropped my subwoofer on the ground. I have a Rockford Tube sub. It fell directly on the speaker side from the height of my brothers truck. Could my sub be broken. I would test it but my car is being worked on so nowhere to test it. Any help?

if there is no structural damage you should be good. just wire it up and listen.

yeah dont freak out YET. I've had guys working and drop customers speakers on the ground back when i had friends working here. They should be fine, if there was no power to the speaker their is literally no damage you could have done to the voice coil without something pushing it in. If it landed flat, or pretty flat. you should be fine.

True but i would be worried of demagnetization if it landed like that.
No! a speaker magnet would break into many pieces before it would ever demagnetize. it would take a LOT more that a fall to the floor. if it works when you wire it up, its fine. he also said it landed directly on the speaker side.

well as long as you can push along the cone or subwoofer its self then it should be ok but if you feel any ripps or tears then you might want to get it checked
