could be a few answers. try to give as many details about the system as possible. what kind of amp, what gauge of wire used in the install, what size fuses are in the amp, what size is the inline fuse? wattage doesnt mean anything in this situation.

bad amp? power wire shorting to ground somehow? i would definately double check all the power wiring and see if, over time, you may have developed a small cut in the line somewhere that is shorting.

when the bass hits you are drawing the most current from your amp. output stage of the amp could be fried. hook it to a buddys known working system for a monemt to see if it repeats.

i had the same problem if the fuse on the amp keeps blowing either your pos and neg are backwards on the amp or your ground wire is either loose or not touching true ground from not grinding the coat off the metal before grounding or in my case my power wire between the amp and the main fuse was burt out a bit due to running a powerfull system at high volume for a long period of time. also those connections on your power wire fuse could be loose or dirty. obviously check that fuse too. other problems could be dammaged or crushed wires while running them through the cab of the vehicle, power wires can short out also on the hole through the fire wall if you did not put a rubber housing in.

its shorting out somewhere, check all of the wires, insulation could have been worn through and shorting out somewhere. also could be the amp going bad. check the wires first.
