I'm trying to put OS X Snow Leopard on my PC (Spec's below) because frankly every windows just urk's me now causes me to wanna flip it half way across the room.

Anyway; I've been spending the last few day's looking up on this and I've decided to do it, all i need to find now is a DVD-R 8.5GB disk (a single one cause i refuse to pay 15 buck's for 3 out here)

Question: I've been reading and it say's some people need to configure their BIOS setting's to get it working right. Under my condition's what are the recommended setting's if anyone knows. & WiFi will it work? haven't seen anywhere that it has =/

Spec's;

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

HP DV4 1313dx.

AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-74 2.20 GHz

4 GB Ram

*and yes i know the consequences of doing this

As it looks right now, there are no kexts for your chipset(wifi). But, does seem there is a group of people working on it. As far as BIOS changes, I've never had to do any. I have a MSi Wind u100 edition of project osx86, worked right out of the box(i swapped out wifi cards). I also had Kalyway/iDeneb versions installed on PC towers without messing with BIOS.

So, if you really want too, get the Dell wifi card, or a card that uses Broadcom drivers(native to OS X) and go for it.

Yea i gotta do something to get rid of windows, Ubuntu was a runner up but i honesty prefer Leopard even tho it's Linux based.

nd about the WiFi; dammit, i guess ill try nd see how i can get a hold of a dell one before i go any further cause i don't wanna have to whip out the 100ft Ethernet cable to use my laptop in my house; not to mention i use it for school.

i dual boot 7 and os x on my main pc and love it
Step's towards how u did it (I've looked into doing this as well but it seems very troublesome due to the Bootloader crapping out etc.) Or point me in the right direction. id appreciate it.

it took quite a few installs for me to get os x working right but i just used my own bootloader, just check out the wiki for osx86 project to find out how to install your os x and see if all your hardware is compatible. I have never had one problem with the bootloader i use i just asks me if i want to boot into 7 or os x and if i dont choose one it auto selects 7.
