Warranty Question

Hey guys, I ddnt know where to post this, and didnt find anything when I searched. I just got my Civic Hybrid from carmax, and I have a warranty on it. My question is would adding a cat back, or axle back, adding a cai, or header would void the warranty? I have even heard that getting rims void warranty.... anyone have any experience with this care to weigh in? Thanks in advance...

No, it will not.

If I remember correctly, the only way a modified part will void your warranty is if it causes the problem with the malfunctioning part... even then, it's not a complete void.. just that work won't be covered.

if its a manufactures warranty, then its as joe said.

If its a private warranty like from carmax or something, you may want to look into it. They could have included any modifications void the warranty in the warranty.

Thanks Matt, I will deff look into that, because with the HID's or Tint I may have unknowingly voided it...

HIDs and Tint... I really wouldn't be worried. But yes, Matt brings up a good point. If it's not from Honda, you need to double check.

even on a manuacturers warranty and a private warranty.. HIDs and tint wont void it... it will however void the particular part if like... the window just breaks... or... the headlights melt...

so if the engine blows... they cant say the tint caused it.. or the HIDs caused it... know what i mean?
